Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed throughout the world of rock. Although the band was not success on the scene in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford began a solo heavy metal career following the split from her band in 1979. She began voice lessons, and recorded her first solo album , 'Out for Blood' then 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford went missing from the music scene for some time after the albums did not be a huge success. In 1988, she returned to the scene with an amazing album titled "Lita. Both the track "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. But her fame was only short-lived and she was absent from the industry for several years. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, she returned. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. The singer was honored with The Certified Guitar Legend Award by the Guitar Player Magazine.
